Since we have finally found dog sitters for our furbaby- I am ready to party!! Trying to find a dogsitter during school vacation week on an island where EVERYONE has dogs is challenging with months to spare. Having less than one week to do it is ulcer-inducing.

Have fun with that snow- I'll be playing in powdery white stuff this weekend, too

That's the problem with west coast snow. It's now powdery except in the mountains. It's wet and heavy and a real mess. 6" and you're not going anywhere.

Well my powdery white stuff will be a hellova lot warmer than your wet, heavy stuff.

(that somehow sounds dirty, now that I read it again)

I love playing in the powder. I have always wanted to drive into a snow drift and BOOM! Just plow right through it. Driving into a pile our snow is like hitting a wall.

I am ready for the snow, but it is not here yet

wine, food, soda, sparkling water, fresh kitty litter all in good supply.

Tri-tip steak on the grill, all is good

No snow or freezing rain yet here either. Going to be a lot of disappointed kids in the morning if the school buses are running.

Thanks for the uplift. Spring salmon and steelhead are just around the corner. There is hope.

It was gorgeous here today! 35F and sunny- NO WIND Yeah, seriously, that's what goes for nice this winter. We kept the kids out for an extra few minutes at recess because it was so nice.
