Is anybody a Notary Public ? I have closing documents for a property sale that need notarized.How should I be charged ? In Illinois the fee is $1.00 per document. Is that per notarized page/signature or for all pages.I have total of 18 pages. Not all 18 require a signature.
Either way we're not talking alot of $. Just wondering.

I am looking for more content on Notary Public as I want to do a public notary but I don't know the jurisdiction law and certified documents require for it.

Your personal banker usually will do it for free....

I am a notary public. I need it for work. I would do it for free if you lived near me.

I needed a document notarized for my mom when she was in an assisted living several years ago, I paid $20 to have it notarized, but then the guy had to come to the AL facility to do it.

If you say the rate is $1 per document, I would think that would mean for every time the notary has to sign and stamp a page...not every page of the document.... but then I'm just guessing.

Done.Bank did it for free.

FYI= In Illinois it's $1 each time notary signs/stamps. They can also charge for traveling.Notaries are price regulated. Each state varies.

$1.00, wow, that would barely cover the cost of the ink and certainly not the time involved. Around here it's $10-$15/signature.
