Day Three- Liver status=somewhat jostled
Wake up feeling not too bad. Must have been that good pizza pazza to soak up the alkeehol last night. Well nice thing about Playa is all you gotta do the next day is make it to the beach. ![]() We had some friends from Indy that came in last night and were staying at Fusion, so we walked down to find them. After 2 attempts we found them had a mojito there and asked them if they were hungry-they wanted ceviche-sweet! I said the ceviche at Fusion is good, but I got a better place. They agreed to be adventurous so we were off to Cockteleria Veracruz. Me, Josh, April and Brad at Cockteleria Veracruz Here they bring you bowl of wonderful seafood broth before your meal. It’s delicious They also have the best guacamole I have had in a while I decided on the garlic fish filet. It was so tender and fresh-excellent. Sorry I ate half of it before I remembered to take a picture. Mine was last to the table and I was a hungry chica! ![]() Josh had the fish tacos-again super fresh and tender April had the shrimp ceviche-it was better than El Pirata. See how the broth has a bit of color? That’s flavor baby! Scrumpdidilyumptious!! We head invited them back to see our room and introduced Brad to Don Julio. He was saying how he didn’t really like tequila. He does now ![]() We have a few cocktails at the room and decide we need to shower after a bit and we meet back up for more drinks at the Luna Blue. Kirbyfan and Tina are there and before you know it it’s time to eat. Think it was around 10:00. Damn I better slow down-Julia is coming tomorrow! Well that didn’t happen. ![]() Off to HC Monterrey for more Don and arrachera! We picked up a stray on the way-he was nice Bob from New York I think…he had dinner with us too. ![]() ![]() ![]() More Don! ![]() Tina, "Here hold my square" Chris double fisting ! ![]() ![]() We were missing Doc and Harold from our trip last year Tina drew a little picture to give them a tribute Hola! We miss you Doc and Harold! ![]() Close up ![]() April how's that margarita treating ya? ![]() Perfecta! ![]() Off for some dancing! Tina and Chris had to get up early so they turned in, but we were full steam ahead at Coco Maya! We went over to the Blue Parrot to show Brad and April the fire show. Since we were staying at the suites we didn’t have to pay to get in which was nice. April wanted to keep going, but Josh was toast. We were going non-stop for 3 days in a row now…and as I mentioned Julia is coming tomorrow. Liver alert! Off to bed about 1:30 Tomorrow...Julia is coming to Playa!!

Great installments. I love how you picked up a stray. I have also never partied at Coco Maya, but it seems like your hangout. I also love the DJ with dinner. I am looking forward to seeing more of Julia, sounds like she is loca.
Great work! |

Day 4 Liver Status=a little jagged this morning
Wake up feeling ugh. Didn't sleep well...Kept waking up like a kid on Christmas morning excited for my girl to get to Playa today! Can't sleep anymore, so finally decide to get outta bed and get some breakfast. Went to El Bistro at La Tortuga. I love this place. So serene and beautiful, the breakfasts are delicious, the staff is wonderful and if we are lucky enough we might we get to see Anna buzzing around. Again, loving the location of the BP Suites we are at La Tortuga quickly. They are busy as usual but we get a seat in the garden. ![]() Josh got the Eggs Benedict which is a must do. ![]() I just needed something simple this morning as I was feeling rough so I got eggs and bacon which was perfect ![]() We saw Anna before we left and she even asked me what was wrong… as I was looking a little haggard. Just out late again abusing my body.During breakfast I kept checking my phone like I was waiting for my boyfriend to call-oh wait I’m married, well you know what I mean. ![]() I was excited for Julia to get there! I kept saying all morning and pretty much the day before, “I can’t believe she’s gonna be here!” ![]() ![]() ![]() We went back to the hotel after breakfast- I had to lie down for a bit. Felt like poopy after last night’s, and the night before, and the night before’s festivities. So I put my head on the pillow…I might have groaned a bit to Josh. Maybe 10 minutes later I got a text and I jumped up so fast you woulda thought the bed got electrocuted! I said "she’s here, she’s here!" Josh was like…”Feeling better are we?”![]() Walking down fifth to find Hoolia- I think I see her! Yay! She’s has arrived! ![]() Get her settled and we are off to the beach Soon after Julia is hungry and said she wanted fish tacos so we go down to Fusion for beach lunch and to say hi to our Indy friends I had the hummus. It was yummy-hit the spot for my tummy, but I had it again later in the week and it was ucky so just so just a heads up. I might have had a mojito too ![]() ![]() Julia got her fish taco fix and a mojito as well ![]() They give you a lot of food at the Fusion and she smashed the whole thing. Told ya she was my bestest friend! She loves food too ![]() Back off to the beach for a bit and I need a siesta. I went off to take a nap and Julia wants some guacamole and maybe another drink. Yea buddy! Go get you some girl! Josh takes her down to Carboncitos for their 25 peso margarita happy hour and I get a snooze. I could have slept all night I think, but no time for that! Time to get up and go to dinner! You gonna sit there or am I gonna get fed? Off to Era Ora again for dinner. Brad and April meet us as well. The delicious bruschetta I had the fettucine bosciola…again, and it was awesome…again. ![]() April had the ravioli, very tasty, tangy, tomato-y flavor on the sauce Brad had the mushroom risotto which was yummy as well Julia had the lasagna which was very tangy tomato-y as well. Not like the beefy bolognese lasagna at Util. It was very good, just different. ![]() A caprese got thrown in there too. It was yummy, but we had it again later in the week and it was even better. Fresher mozz me thinks ![]() We ended the meal with complimentary limoncello and that was about it for the evening. Took a stroll down fifth, but Julia was tired from traveling, and I was just tired from party all the time party all the time. Next up...pole dancing, more Don and more party all the time party all the time. Maybe THAT'S what I should have named my trip report!
