Great report Chris!! I really don't know if I'd be able to keep up with you guys, but I do admire your Gusto!
I got the biggest kick out of the menu item "divorced eggs" and "eggs synchronized" Never really did find out from them, what exactly they were! ![]() |

Day 5 Liver status=confused but somewhat relieved after an easy night
Woke up very early, I think 7 ish. ![]() ![]() ![]() We walked to Nativo since there are so many good reviews of their breakfasts and I must say I agree. It’s a small place and when we got there they had music videos blaring. I had to ask them to turn it down a bit ![]() We ordered two smoothies that were huge and we each got an omlette with everything. We could have easily split one. There had to be a pound of spinach in them-a bit too much green stuff for Josh! They were very tasty. ![]() ![]() We would have returned, but I was never that hungry in the morning again! ![]() Come back to the suite and Hoolia is still sleeping. She eventually awakes and we head out to the beach. Another glorious day in paradise! ![]() ![]() Wanted to show Julia the fruit carts down by the bus station so on the way we pick up April at the Fusion and down there. Julia says this is her favorite thing so far ![]() Coco y pina again for me-"Hey, I’m chewing here!" ![]() Julia will have more pics in her trip report of chicks and fruit Drop April off at Fusion, she and Brad have a friend from Indy arriving this afternoon and so we make loose lunch plans for later. But now must go back soak up sun ![]() ![]() ![]() It's soon lunchtime and the chicken place on 2nd and 20th (Asadero el Pollo Estilo Sinaloa) is sounding good, so we are off to tell our friends at Fusion that’s what we want. Well, their friend (let’s give him a name) John- was just getting in and wanted to meet between Fusion and Luna Blue-ok so that nixes the chicken place-outta the way and no beer. So I say have him meet us at PG’s I hear they have coldest beer in town and it’s close to him. So we walk up 5th, meet him there and have a nice cold one at PG’s. Hit a roadblock after looking at the menu at PG’s as it’s not too appealing to all parties involved so we decide to try Babes. Mind you John (new guy) is famished-has only has like a granola bar since he woke up at like 3:30AM and it’s now…I have no freakkin clue...don't wear a watch...but it’s a lot later and we are all hungry as well. So we walk to Babes-crap-it’s Sunday and it’s closed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Back at Cockteleria Veracruz we order up 2 orders of guac and guess who joins the party!? Well Don of course! I think he stopped by at least twice during lunch. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here's a cool pic Julia got of Don joining the partay! ![]() Several shrimp ceviches were enjoyed along with grilled fish tacos think someone had a mixed ceviche as well-we had that later in the week and it was yummy! ![]() ![]() Somehow the bill was figured wrong we and we ended up with too much money in the pot ![]() ![]() ![]() They brought us some pumpkin seed salsa which I was very excited about, but it just wasn’t the same as it was. Honestly it tasted watery and a bit like the pumpkin seeds were old. ![]() ![]() At this point a shower is definitely in order. So either we shower and siesta and stop the fiesta or swing for the fence and keep it going. Fiesta fiesta!! ![]() ![]() Of to shower and meet up at the Tequila Barrel around 8:00. Julia and I had taken a Pole dancing class in Indy in preparation for this ![]() ![]() ![]() Hoolia!? Why are your eyes more open than mine...oh yea, I got 3 days of Playa on ya ![]() ![]() We even got April up there-she had not idea what we were about to do! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Good thing Hoolia wore drawers tonight! ![]() ![]() And of course we got our trophy shots for getting up on the bar! These shots are NOT Don BTW! ![]() ![]() At this point some peeps are getting tired. ![]() ![]() Problem is it’s still a bit early for Coco Maya and such. So I show Julia Basico and then I think we went to Tryst (where Pummarola used to be on 12th) No one was there, but this little dude, uhm, dudette, well. Lets just say he was very feminine and he could shake his thang like I have never seen before. We were laughing hysterically! I felt like I was moving in slow motion after seeing his hips shake like a freakkin paint shaker at Home Depot! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Off to Coco Maya for a bit of debauchery… ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Set the alarm for 8:00AM to meet the other to go to Tulum…ugh Edit: That last picture was taken at the Beer Bucket...forgot I wanted to show Julia the BB, so we stopped in there and had a shot. But it smelt like puke so we left. THEN we went to Tryst...ok that's right...I think ![]()

Great report so far Chris. I love the Hoolia thing. I met up with her on the Saturday you left at Bad Boys and forgot her name so when I asked her it again that is what I heard, and I said to her "cool name". She must have thought "o.k. I guess this Canadian guy hasn't heard the name Julia much back home".
When I caught up with her again at The Bucket I said to my friends "this girl has a cool name" only to hear her introduce herself as Julia. Not that Julia is not a great name Julia ! Anyways enough of that. Carry on . ![]() BTW....glad I got a chance to meet you guys briefly. I share your love of Don Julio, maybe too much. Don took me down hard the night before the Luna Blue peep meet. TG understands. |

![]() LOVE your hat! Did you get it in Playa? My hair is short so the "throw it up in a ponytail look" is not an option for me! Very much enjoying your trip report too!! |
