I LOVE LOVE LOVE teachers!!! My mother was an English teacher and a Head Start teacher in Chicago many many moons ago.
My sons have reaped enormous benefits from the amazing PUBLIC SCHOOL teachers we have in our district. Especially the little guy with special needs. It KILLS me that the battle has turned on the most valuable public employees we have.

It's even harder dealing with some parents 'of today.' I could tell you stories. Seriously, the majority of time I look forward to being in school with these kids. There are the usual irritations, but for the most part, most want to learn! They're scared about the future, they have plans, and dreams. They're not that different from us when we were their age. And sure, it also depends on the area your school is in. Thankfully, mine isn't as bad as some. Last edited by MaripositaII; 03-04-2011 at 12:13 AM.. |
