One of the things we decided had to get done was to build a storage area that could be secured between visits. We accomplished this by having a triangular stone addition built on the hexagonal palapa. The door opens to the inside where the kitchen will be. Eventually it will become a pantry when other areas are secured. You can see the walls going in above. Rather ugly stonework but we plan to fill with stucco on the outside and inside. Probably do a mosaic on at least one of the walls.
Upstairs is nearly finished with the exception of screens. Those will be the first effort when we get back. The railings were started upstairs and will need to be finished when we return. One completed side is shown below.

We enjoyed watching the work being done. Below is a picture of Layla our granddaughter watching construction of the outdoor shower with me.

Below is the stone wall that will enclose the shower. There will be a couple of benches, a sink and plants added in time.

That's it for now. I'll post more as time allows.
