It's an italian thing.

Us English always call them Inter or Milan and sometimes Inter Milan and AC Milan

Anyway.

Predictions:

Real Madrid vs Barcelona
Chelsea vs Inter

Chelsea vs Barcelona

Whoever gets Barcelona in the final will be beaten before a ball is kicked.

Saw some highlights. I'm not sure the match was even as close as the score makes it appear, either, with one goal for Inter being a spectacular volley from about the center line into a vacated net.

Meanwhile, back on this side of the pond, soccer north of the border has taken another step forward, placing an MLS team in the CCL final for the first time. RSL will face on the 19th and 26th the winner of the Cruz Azul / Monterrey clash that finishes tonight.

Stankovic goal was audacious! Never write inter () off though.

Hoping for a United win today.

Oh, no -- I wouldn't write off Inter. Especially not after Bayern and also how they took the crown last year. But I never expected Schalke to out in 5 or to win by 3!

Found a YT clip of that goal. Sports fans, socce or not, can certainly enjoy this:

YouTube - Amazing Halfway Line Goal Dejan Stankovi
The audacious bit to me is that it was a volley! No stopping to set it up for him. That could have gone quite wrong, but he just nails it.

(Off topic, but odd how much the Schalke keeper looks like Toby Maguire where the clip ends!)

I have a bad feeling about RSL - Monterrey. Beckerman, Olave and Morales won't all make it out of La Sultana del Norte without some yellow cards.

RSL's biggest advantage will be the altitude. As part of preseason training, RSL players and coaches went snowshoeing up in the Wasatch Mountains at 2300 meters.

That's strange to write. A US team has an advantage over a Mexican league team because of the altitude.

Hey, Anna Tortuga: There is 3 cm of snow on my front yard right now and more is falling. The resorts up in the mountains are supposed to receive at least a half a meter this weekend. If you are fired, come up here and go skiing before the resorts close.
