Had pizza in Merida near the zocolo and they had a very wild colored oven. Pretty good pizza but the Roundtable Maui Zowie is still my favorite pizza.

The margherita pizza we had tonight at La Famiglia:

It was really good. Comparable to Piola, though I have to stay Piola is still my favorite...just by a little. La Famiglia is cheaper, however.

now I'M STARVING and it's only 10.23 am

For me, number 1 is LA FAMIGLIA.

Been to Piola twice and didn't like it both times . the pizza is too sweet, can't eat it with your hands as it falls all over the place...too argentinian tasting for me. I have to stcik to italian with pizza. But their basil martinis are good

I'm starving looking at these pictures too! We'll be back down at Easter, I have to try La Famiglia. I really liked Pummarola's pizzas last trip.

I like that slightly sweet taste in the sauce at Piola, and I also like that they put leaves of fresh basil on their margherita pizza.

That's the only the way I eat Piola's pizza - with my hands.
La Famiglia is good, but the margherita pizza was nothing more than a cheese pizza. Seriously lacking basil.

Well I don't have any pictures, but I think our favorite pizza is still Pummerola. It's the fresh cheese that puts it over the top for me. In close second and third are La Famiglia (thanks, Chris!) and Era Ora. Those were the only three places we ate pizza this year, so I can't comment on Piola or anywhere else. However those 3 places were all fantastic!

We really love the pizza at Da GiGi's. Very thin crisp crust, and the margarhita is our favorite. Although I think that every place is a little miserly with the basil except for Piola. They all have good pizzas, just a matter of the type you like.

We had no trouble eating our Piolas pizza. How many of those basil martinis did you have before you got your pizza ?? I sure wish I would have tried one.
