hotel banana pizza...>?

I'm not sure of the name, but there's a new restaurant that makes excellent pizzas at a reasonable price in the Hotel Banana (old name?) on the corner of 5th Ave and 32nd. Since it's right around the corner from our place, I got carry out pizza three times in one week before I left in early March. I'd get a glass of wine and order a pizza para llevar and the pizza was usually ready before I'd finish the wine. If anyone knows the name of this place, let me know. I'll give it two thumbs up for quality and price. Of course, it's Italian style with thin crust, which is my preference. If anybody is into the more typical American pizza thicker crust, the Pizza and Wings place next to Ah Cacao on 5th and 30th is where to go, but it's more expensive for sure, although they do have the only decent wings I've ever had in Playa.

I can't believe it took someone this long to ask. I just had to throw this one in.

As you can tell by Donna wearing a coat it was not in Playa. It is in St Louis, MO about a year ago, Katie's Pizzeria, great pizzas and salads and a wonderful homemade bread with a salted crust.

I like all of those. Mr C's doesn't have that crispy crust but it's our go to for a quick lunch on car rides. All three are really close to our house. Don't know if you remember Club 500 on East Warren, but my dad was the original owner. The pizza was excellent. I really miss it.

Of course i remember club 500. The best square pizza! Lucky you. I grew up in that neighborhood. Mack and cadieux. East Warren lanes was a major hang out.

We were walking home tonight really hungry and wanting a pizza. We stopped at the Pizza Banana on 10th, between 32nd and 34th, and asked them to make us a whole pizza to go. I've NEVER had a better pizza here at any of the slice places!!! Holy cow...it was super, super good. One of my pet peeves here at the slice places is that they don't put on enough sauce, and this pizza had plenty of it, lots of oregano, and a really nice, thin crust. It was perfect!!! We will for sure go there again. I never expected to rave about a slice place like this, but I am pleasantly surprised.
