IB Lindo New Construction

From what I have read, the new construction at the Lindo will just about doubel the number of rooms. Are they adding any additional restauratns? Could it get too crowded? Also, what is the Maya resolrt I see referenced next to the Lindo?

IB* LINDO NEW CONSTRUCTION

The new IB* will be Paraiso Maya resort. The specialty restaurants in the Lindo will be shared with the Maya resort. Guests at the IB* Beach and Del Mar resorts will NOT share the restaurants at the Lindo and Maya resorts. When the fifth resort yet to be begun is completed there will be five resorts. The 5 star resorts will share restaurants. The 4 star resorts will not share. The new Paraiso Maya resort will be Jr. Suits only. They will share the lazy river and other amenities of the Paraiso Lindo resort. Its a great combination of resort and services. The Lindo offers its guests a truly special combination of service and luxury. I'm afraid the price will go up sharply next year. We love Iberostar.

IB* Lindo & Maya

The word we hear is that the new Lindo Resort will share the 6 specialty restaurants with the soon to open IB* Maya resort. These new rooms will be all JR SUITES. The entire Lindo/Maya resorts will be upscale with a condierge in each building. The wavbe pool and lazy river will be for these guests only. Once the Maya resort is open, a fifth resort is being built that will include a golf course and shopping mall. Iberostar will be a key player in the area between Cancun and Playa del Carmen. We expect the price for these new resorts to rise to reflect the upscale nature of the service and facility offered.

From what I've heard, two new restaurants will open with the Mayan - a Japanese and a Mexican.
