We commented on that too! Like, was that the only position they knew about back then? It's Clan of the Cave Bear all over again!

We just watched the first episode tonight. Neither of us have read the book series. Liked it very much. No snoozer here. Maybe because we have not read the books?!

I thought the dwarf was the handsomest dwarf I have ever seen!

No, and I will! Thanks.

That scene with him and all the women cracked me up. Little ball of fire, he is.

Tuned in last night for the first time. It has possibilities. How many episodes have I missed? What night of the week do they air the new episodes? Why haven't they come out with a Sopranos movie?

Guess that last one doesn't apply to this thread but had to put it in there anyways.

Last night was the third episode. You can go back and watch the first two on demand if you want to get caught up with the characters and storyline. New episodes are Sundays at 9PM.

I'd go see a Sopranos movie too, especially after that ending.

My [scattered] pace of reading has kept me caught up with the TV series, if the newsfeeds and episode summaries are correct that I've been reading (I haven't seen an episode yet). It's fun to hear about parts of the stories that I just read about the other day at the same time as they're unfolding on TV.

Still loving this story.
Still eager to watch the series after I'm done reading.
Still wishing for more time to just sit and read

Thank you again, gingele, for originally recommending this series to me

Did anyone else "like" Game of Thrones on facebook and are receiving the news feeds? If so, did you enter for your chance to win replica dragon eggs from the show (Danaerys' wedding gift)?

They looked pretty cool!

Tyrion Lannister is the best character in the books. Hands down. IMHO.

By the way, if anyone is interested, all 4 books are available on amazon in a paperback set for only $20: George RR Martin - A Song of Ice and Fire Note also that the 5th book in the series will finally be released in July (it has been 6 years since the 4th book was published - GAH)!

and only $17.80 as a Kindle e-book set!!

If I didn't have about two dozen books already downloaded but unread, I'd buy it.

And they are BIG ASS books, too. Around 900 - 1,000 pages each (hardcover). Although with an eReader, I guess that doesn't matter too much. Either way, they'll keep you busy, that is for sure!
