Having a tough time with the wide variations from the book after last night. Between Dragontheftgate.com, Jon Snow getting caught like he did, and Cersai and Tywin showing a smidge of a soft side ...I just don't know...

I honestly don't know how you guys keep everyone's names straight.
Was there something going to happen after the conversation between Cersei and Tyrion? I was a little confused by this and just a little uneasy.

I think he was making a move somewhat to comfort her, but they both felt uneasy and unsettled about her showing weakness, so the moment passed....that was how I took it anyway....she has always treated Tyrion horribly so that was why he was unsure how to act. I think. ![]() Flying Pig- I actually found Tyrion in the novels to be a VERY sympathetic character...and even Cersei had her moments of vulnerability, such as how ripped apart by Marcella going to Dorne she was, and when she had to strip and walk through the streets, etc. and didn't Jon get captured by the Free Folk in the book too? ![]() (Did I read this series? ![]() )

I was talking about Tywin, not Tyrion. Tywin never showed compassion for anyone but captured Jaime. I know, the names get me crazy too. |

I cannot even begin to keep the names straight, either, and every time I think about it, or read this thread, it makes me SO glad I'm just watching this on TV and not trying to read those tomes. ![]() Btw, along with Ygritte (for some obvious reasons!) my favorite character these days is Jaqen. "A man has said..." ![]() The scenes between Arya (sp?) and the Lannister patriarch are pretty choice, too. |

![]() So sorry! I totally read that as Tyrion, not Tywin. And I agree, in the books he sure was not at all likeable! Although I am liking the Harrenhall scenes between he and Arya, too. |

I finally finished book 5!
There's no such thing as spoilers to me anymore. It's so refreshing! I immediately texted my friend who I've talked with a ton and we started throwing around all of our speculations. There's so freakin' much that could be possible in this story ![]()

This whole episode takes place at Castlerock.. the battle.
Very disappointed in the battle..should have been during the day..but I guess fire shows up better at night. Kinda glad Tyrion still has his nose intact...I really didn't want to see a hole in the middle of his face. Loved the song. Only one more episode left this season..bummer! |
