Help with plans......

Hope you guys and gals could help with a newbies plans. We are in our mid to late 30's with our two daughters 16 and 17. We have done a lot of cruising in our past.

We only have Friday - Monday for a quick get away to get our feet wet.

We will be arriving in Cancun around 10:30 am on Friday.
We will then take the Riviera bus to Playa. We will either walk (traveling lite) or get a taxi to the Bric hotel to check in and get keys to Condo.
Will be staying at Casa del Sol, which I think is close to the hotel and also the main street (5th avenue).
Drop off bags and head to the beach. Still looking into dinner options as we want to eat at local places. Not into big name places.

Saturday go to the food carts at the end of 5th for some breakfast then hop ferry to Cozumel. Kids really want to hang out at Paradise beach and enjoy the water sports. In the afternoon head back to Playa, clean up and head out for another local meal.

Sunday?

Monday flight out at 1pm.

Any tips? Thanks!

Authentic dinner? Gotta go to El Fogon and have the arrachara nortena.

Have fun!

oh why did you have to mention El Fogon??? I'm salivating at just the thought of it.

ITA with January Guy's El Fogon recommendation. Their chicken fajitas con queso are almost worth the flight down.

Not sure what else you'll want to do. A walk down 5th is mandatory (if you haven't done it already). I'd recommend doing it in the evening when it's not so hot.

I like Mamitas Beach Club, the location is good and the beach there is nice.

Piola for pizza, Chevo del Chango for breakfast.

Just my opinion, but if I only had Friday to Monday, I wouldn't go to Coz. It seems like too much traveling to me. There are just too many nice places to hang out in Playa without having to deal w/ the ferry schedule.

I def wouldn't do Coz either. A waste of an entire day when there's such a gorgeous beach right at your feet....and plenty of water sports to be had if that's what you want. I don't think you'll find the beach nicer than in Playa.

Have fun!
