I am guess on the people. Hoping that if we take them out that we can do it all in one night, might be cheaper for us. lol

You like Los Amigos? I don't think we have eaten there.

The people we are taking to dinner live and work in Playa.
We have made friends with them all so it's like our treat to them.

Thanks for the help

El Fogon is my favorite for dinner. But, yes I love Los Amigos. Great food, good atmosphere, and very reasonable prices. Another one to look at for a big group with much more space would be El Sarape off Juarez and 25th or so. They have a big open air courtyard out back.

My opinion, it would not be a problem at all to seat 14 people at any of the three El Fogons if you give a little notice.

25 peso beers here as I remember...During low season I am certain El Fogon would make room for 14 happily... They made room for 10 of us last year. Just had my friend who speaks much better spanish than I tell them what time we would be there and how many. No problem..Did we all get our food at the same time? Nobody cared though..Lots to drink and everyone shared bites of this and that anyway.

That is good to know about them being accomodating with some notice, and also in low season. I based my comments on the fact that 8 of us once showed up without notice in high season and they told us they would seat us, but then we waited for 1/2 hour while they basically ignored us. I hadn't even thought of making advance "reservations" at a place in Playa!

Ate here tonight, we had the arrachera which was excellent. My wife and I shared it. I want to say it was 330gr for $170 pesos, beer was 2x1 @ $40 pesos. The arrachera came out as more of a steak about 1/2" thick and quite large. Great flavor, more along the lines of an Argentinean steak. Much different than HC or CH, but different is good
We were the only diners @ 9pm. I would definitely recommend.

I believe that the 120 pesos "All You Can Eat - Chicken, Beef & Pork" signage is out for lunch and dinner.
I have had the "special" 2 or 3 times and it is a good deal.

I've seen it on the specials board both day and night. Pretty sure it's all day every day.

I walked by at 9:15am (this morning) and the sign was up. Maybe you can have the All-You-Can-Eat special for breakfast also.

We ate there during the week of May 9th. Had the Chile en Nogada. It was good, but not as good as the one I had in Cabo. Instead of Pomegranite seeds, they used tomato. Hubby had the Rib Eye and he was a little dissapointed in it. Half the steak was all fat. I had the arrachera. Although it was good, I prefer HC's better. We went for an early dinner, around 5:00 and the special was still listed on their board outside.
I'm glad that we tried it, not sure if hubby would return though.
