Can't speak for Mel, but note that the term "giant boner", may not always refer exclusively to the measurable size, per se, but also to relative turgidity, i.e.: semi-chub vs. giant boner.

So do they pat down all of the employees that have contact with the plane everyday? Baggage loaders, stewardesses, all of the people who you see driving the carts on the tarmac?

Nope! Some but not all!

Edit: Some don't even go thru security at all!

Airport workers all have to clear fairly high level security checks, I would assume?

At least that is the way it was when I worked at the city airport here in Canada, pre- 9/11 even. You had to get fingerprinted, have a clean record, they did a full bore background and criminal record check. So I am sure they are as sticky or even stickier today.

I DO know airline employees in safety sensitive jobs MUST go thru a 10 year background check, get finger printed, random drug and alcohol screenings. Now "airport workers", no idea if they are put thru the same?

There are so many people that have daily access to airplanes on the tarmac, fuelers, cleaners, catering people. I find it really hard to believe that ALL of them have been put thru the same rigors! After all, the airplane itself is the biggest weapon of them all!
