[quote=roni;1766482]We are not Christians and we do not celebrate Easter, but
We were raised Christian, and I will sing As I used to as a young lad ![]() That song has been stuck in my head all day today. I am continuing with our tradition of hosting Easter dinner for both mine and Bill family. It is a small group this year. I thought about not doing it but it is the easy way out. Both sides invited me over and didn't know who to disappoint. Really wanted to go away for the weekend to my sister in law's but knew my family would throw a fit

A coworker was listening to oldies on internet radio today. It was nice. Then "Son of the preacher man" came on and I smiled. Visions of Roni grinning and dancing around the campfire in Syl's backyard, with a glass of wine in hand, listening to that song.
I turned around and said "You can not imagine the scene in my head right now. One of my buddies IS the son of the preacher man, and he can party to it." ![]()

Before I can start my Easter Weekend I still have to go home from Paris. Will do that tonight. Had planned on going to the lake tomorrow with my dive club but that would have meant getting up early again and I am too tired for that. So the only plans that I have are for Easter monday when the family gathers on the countryside and we will be celebrating my dad's birthday (which everybody else did already two days ago but I was in Paris then so I couldn't go).
Happy to be home in my own bed tonight...

Big traditional Sunday dinner. I have a love/hate relationship with these things. Always great food, always love to see the the nieces and nephews but hate the "superior" atittude of one family. The "We make lots of money, we love each other so much that even after 25 years we have sex everyday, we have the best grown boys, we have a vacation house in Florida, we have 900 friends on facebook, I only weigh 109, blah, blah, blah". The truth is they live high on the hog, no money in the bank.....it's all about appearances. And I could care less how many times they have sex! Sometimes really hard for me to keep my mouth shut! But I just think to myself....."Whatever!" and go for another brownie!

That just made me laugh a bit...family, huh!? ![]() Like the saying goes, 'You can pick your friends, and you can pick your nose- but you can't pick your family.' Grin and bear it! ![]() We had our big Easter dinner with hubby's family last weekend.....with 2 sets of twins and another baby and then 5 other young kids it was chaotic but fun. This weekend we are very grateful to not have to travel anywhere for a family dinner, nor put one on- first time in a LONG time. So we will clean up our yard from winter Friday, D is golfing and I am shopping for his b'day gift Saturday, going to dinner with friends twice and Sunday is pure relaxation day, other than brunch after church with his mom. (She is going, not us. ha) |

I think that might be a bastardization of the original. But a funny one.

Looking into it. I was looking at the Canons and they are only waterproof to 33 feet! duh! ![]() The mini SeaLife is good to 130 feet. ![]() ![]() Most sites appear to be really $$ for shipping....I will check out our Dive Shop and local Best Buy, etc. thanks!
