I got the fish this way: Let x be the weight of the fish (it would have been easier to let x be one half the fish's weight, maybe). Then 1+x/2=x or 1=x-x/2 . Then 1 = x(1-1/2), i.e., 1= x/2 and so, voilą, x=2 Boy my algebra is rusty!
