Best way to get from RPDC to Grand Sirenis

We are currently enjoying a wonderful stay at the RPDC. We will be attending a wedding at the Grand Sirenis on Thursday and need to know the cheapest / easiest way to get there and the approximate cost.

Thanks in advance!

Cheapest way would more than likely be the collectivo. Walk down to Calle 2 and grab one. Should be about 30 pesos per person, each way.

Then again, if you're dressed up for a wedding, do you want to be walking from the Royal to Calle 2 to get the colectivo, possibly packed into a colectivo with a bunch of other people, dropped off on the highway and left to walk into the resort on your own (and it is quite a hot walk to get to the lobby from the highway!)? Not what I would call the best way to get there. I'd suggest a taxi - door to door service, only other way. It's about 20 miles, past the Barcelo and the cab ride there is $20 so plan on a bit more than that - about $25 one way.

P.S. Assuming someone has ok'ed you to come into the property that day, and/or purchased you a day pass, make sure your name is left at the gate with the guard as if you're not a registered guest wearing a bracelet, you'll may have a problem getting in.

Thanks, that's exactly what we did, for the reasons you cited. It was a long enough walk from the lobby to the site of the wedding!

The cab ride was 295 pesos each way, based on the tarrif posted at the RPDC's motor lobby.

I'll save the resort comparisons for my trip report The wedding, however, was beautiful and well-organised.
