Chef John Gray Moves to New Fixed Price Menu!

The John Gray Restaurant Group is pleased to announce the introduction of a new menu concept in both of its Riviera Maya restaurant locations. Beginning in May, John Gray’s Kitchen in Puerto Morelos and John Gray’s Place in Playa del Carmen will introduce a fixed price menu. Guests will be able to choose from a selection of Chef Gray’s popular signature dishes as well as new culinary creations. The menus will change weekly and will feature seasonal produce, locally caught seafood and of, course, the creativity of Chef Gray and his enthusiastic staff. A two course lunch, served with a soda, iced tea or beer will be $100 pesos per person. An elegant dinner, with a choice of appetizer and entrée is set at $200 pesos.

Went by for lunch today and nobody was at the podium. Read the dinner menu that was posted and it had many good dishes. Went across the street to Byblos for a great salmon filet for 60 pesos. Returned to Grays to see a lunch menu for another day and they could not find one. Manana.

Lesson to be learned: STICK WITH BYBLOS. I got home from FL early afternoon but thought that I was told that they would be closed this week for vacation. Not true

John Gray's Place is located off of 5th Ave on Calle Corazon, between calles 12 and 14.

Three of us had lunch there yesterday. It was fantastic. Two of us had the vegatable lasagna-the other the penne pasta. The menu I believe had like 10 different entrees. 100 pesos includes unlimited ice tea. All of us will be going back. I recommend everyone to give it a try.

Michelle, Rob was there-hadnt seen him since he lost his weight-lookin good!

Had the Asian porkchops with slaw, fresh flavors. The fish and chips, ok. Service, much better.
