Eldorado Royale Resort stay - Feb 2004
Four of us (2 couples) stayed at the Eldorado Royale in February 2004. This was our first visit to this part of Mexico. We liked the people, but we had to wait for lots of things. Several days we waited until almost 5 PM to get our room cleaned; At several of the dinner meals we waited more than 2 hours; Reservations to the finer eating places required following certain rules. Such as you can only make a reservation two days in advance and you had to stand in a line to make a reservations.
The workers were very nice. They remembered you, they were polite and friendly. We gave several of them tips because their services were outstanding. It was obvious many of the workers were overworked. We stayed there an entire week and many of them worked every day we were there. Both in the morning and into the evening hours. The place is nice and clean. The weather was not good on a couple of days. The beaches were OK. We went snorkling right off the beach and saw several kinds of fish, which was fun. The food was pretty good, but the facilities provides no snacking that we Americans are accustom too. The drinks were good. They even had several martin alternatives for those who like such things. We probably won't return to this resort again. There are others we've talked to at other resorts that are nearby, which offer better facilities. |
