Where did we eat lunch?

Last March hubby and I started near the ferry dock and wandered north up the beach looking for a place to eat lunch. We had the best food of our lives but we have no idea what the name of the place was! Maybe one of you will be able to figure it out.

I'm pretty sure it was north of El Faro but just south of Grand Porto Real. We sat on swings at the bar and ordered shrimp fajitas and arrecherra, maybe? I'm not sure this place would pass a board of health inspection but the food was so tasty!

If it helps any... there was a mama dog who sat at our feet looking for handouts. She didn't like shrimp. :wink:

I'm sure half the fun of our next trip (one more month!) will be wandering around, looking for yummy food... but I thought I'd try to find out the name of where we ate last time. Thanks!

The restaurant bar area is called the El Pirata and is part of Hotel Costa del Mar. Being right next door to the ****** (Dragon Bar), it's a great place to stay unless you're the type who's in bed by eleven when you're on vacation. It's always quiet when I get in! By the way, food and drinks at their restaurant are some of the least expensive on the beach. Although I'm no chilaquiles expert, I really like the ones I've had there for breakfast. And feel free to use any of my photos as wallpaper.

Ahhh... my personal fave! Jimmy, thanks for posting the pic! I see part of Reuban in the pic, but more importantly... my favourite bar swing! For those of you height-challenged, like myself, note the second last swing from the end facing the bar. This swing has a beautiful toehold, which ensures gracious mounting of the swing! And... it's MINE!!! So shove over or you'll see me wipe out for sure!
