Where are you finding the best rates??

Where does everyone find the best rates for AI and air packages? I want to book for next March and it seems rates have gone up quite a bit.

Any tips on where to look?

Go through a travel agent. They have access to packages, charter flights and deals that you, yourself would not see doing an internet search. I saved about 40% doing this!

I would say, you are very lucky you have had no problems at all, because if you did you would have no one to help you with the problem, especially with Orbitz. I would never take that chance. I would prefer to have someone to call to take care of the problem for me, and it doesn't cost any more. I like the peace of mind.

Shammy is always awesome.

If you're looking for discounted rates I have three sites to recommend.

1. Cheap caribbean dot com
2. price-travel dot com
3. bookit dot com

Price travel is an online agency located in Mexico, so sometimes they can offer the rates that are usually reserved for Mexican nationals. So sometimes, you can get a really good deal. I do most of my travel through cheap caribbean because it is usually the best rate.

Good luck!

I've done it through Expedia and Bookit. Both allowed for pay off over time, which is great for me, and I thought that I got good deals on both of them because I booked almost a year out. (and I researched every web site I could find for better deals...found that it was about 25 bucks more to have the luxury of paying in three easy installments...well worth it to me)

I agree with previous poster who suggested making sure you have a travel agent, or someone to work on your behalf in case something goes wrong while you are on your vacation. That's why I always use cheap caribbean. They're such a huge operator, that the resorts (generally) don't want to p*ss them off, because they don't want CC to be angry with them. It could hurt business. While if you're completely on your own, all they will suffer is a bad review from you, on tripadvisor.

Shammy is great though, she always returns calls/emails almost immediately and she knows her stuff. But if you need to go the discount route, I highly recommend Cheap Caribbean.

Cheers!

I booked my honeymoon with a travel agent (Bigday.com) and they were very good but expensive. I booked 3 other getaways from cheap Caribbean and never had any problems.

I just booked my first vacation yesterday with Allinclusiveoutlet.com and today I actually spoke to one of there agents who called me and she told me that if I have any questions from here on out to just call her and she will assist me. That was a good plus!!

CheapCaribbean.com never once got back to me, then again I never needed them.

Bookit.com has cheap rates also

Liberty Travel is pointless, I have booked cruises with them and they were really not helpful and always directed me to carnival customer service.
