Barcelo
I went to this resort with my family of 4. As we arrived we checked in and we had great service. The beach was very nice and was clean, I also thought the pool was nice. But on the third day i had a bad case of the runs.

I have read reviews on almost every place in that area. Iberostar's, Riu's, and even Palace resorts and there are always occasoinal reviews of some kind of sickness. You take the chance of getting something anywhere down that way,At all the resorts. Lots dont get sick and some do. Hit or miss. Your chances are the same at all the resorts from the reviews I have read. We didnt get sick at Barcelo but some that we met did. We are going to an RIU next Tuesday and hoping we dont get sick there, but I have read that some do get it there too. Your lucky you just got the runs, that might just have been an adjustment to the different foods. My first time in Mexico I had the runs really bad, but last 2 times nothing. I tried to stay away from creamy foods and hot spicy foods and it helped. Better luck next time. Dont let it ruen your thaughts on Barcelo its a wonderful resort and just as clean as any others around. Could have happened anywhere.
