Down Easter Peep Meet 9-17-2011

New England “Down East” Peep Meet

It has been a while since we had a Peep Meet up here and after seeing a segment on “Chronicle” about “Chauncey Creek Lobster Pier” in Kittery, Maine, I thought it might be a good spot to hopefully draw a bunch of out for a party.

They allow coolers with beer and wine, side dishes can be brought, it looks like a great location and there are 42 picnic tables on an outdoor deck right on the water.

The lobster pound sells cooked lobsters, clams and other food items, there is a menu on their web site I have attached with more info and directions.

Knowing Maine is a busy place all summer and quiets down after Labor Day, I’ll put a date out to try September 17th which is a Saturday.

We can adjust the date if need be but at least it’s a start.

The lobster pound is off rte. 95 just over the New Hampshire border. There are hotels close by if anyone wants to make it a night / weekend.

Glad you took the initiative to start this thread, John- it's been too long since us New England peeps have all gotten together!

This sounds like a lot of fun, and we are in for sure!
