I have looked at your trip report a dozen times! I really enjoyed it! It's very personal, informative and the pictures are fabulous! My husband and I are heading to the RPRM in a few weeks and I found your pictures and information to be exactly what we needed to get a better feel for the place before we go. Thank you for your time and efforts...and, congratulations to you both!

Majority of the pics were taken with a Panasonic Lumix FZ45.
It is a fairly big camera to carry about so some of the photos were taken with our smaller cheaper Sony camera. I bought the Lumix FZ45 specifically for our trip to Mexico. Looking through the reports on this site, I could see how amazing the colours were in and around Playa Del Carmen and I wanted to get a decent camera to capture this. I don't know anything about photography so I didn't want to spend a fortune on an SLR and not use any of the features, so I opted for a bridge camera which is not as good as an SLR but is capable of capturing some really good quality shots. |

Wow! Thank you so much for sharing your trip with us! You have changed my mind on where we will stay in 2012, adios Royal....unless Shammy tells me I'm making a mistake! (or unless the dif between our price at the Royal, we are "members," and the Riu is crazy!!). Belated congrats on your wedding. I felt sad for you having to return home u til I saw that precious furry face, Cavalier King Charles Spaniel? Regardless, how darling!
