In Playa stop signs are generally ignored, lol.. so we thought this one must be pretty important!

Great place and when they point to the green sauce and say "spicy" they really really mean it, lol..

Every day between 4-6 they have a coffe/tea/champage area set up among the trees.. it was wonderful and I loved the Mayan Coffee!

Anyway... i have more pics I won't bore ya'll with. The Reef, regardless of what people have said, was actually quite wonderful.. Beautiful beach, great pool area, loved the jungle atmosphere and we enjoyed the staff and all of the food we ate...

We had a nice time when we went last year too!

My husband did get sick for a couple of days... we weren't sure if it was the food, or what.

It is really pretty there though!

My wife and I stayed they last September and loved it. We just found a great price on a trip and will be going back to the Reef Oct 10th-14th. We are very excited.

Ready to hit the swim-up bar and get to drinking cranberry mojitos. Would be awesome if our resort buddies could make it to.

So I went there and it was very good for the price.
Was planning to get back there this May but it looks like prices went up for that place and it's a bit too much now for what they have to offer.
But if you already bought your vacations, just enjoy it. It'll still be good for sure !

Thanks all! We loved it and had a great time.. Do wish that the resort would make one small change... make the pool with the swim up bar adults only lol... The other pool, which is bigger for children.. that'd be great! It really is a beautiful resort, even though people give it a terribly hard time.. We had a blast!! Would go back again in a heartbeat!
