How I Spent My summer Vacation!

Date: July 22-29, 2011
Place: Playa del Carmen, stayed at El Faro Condo Reef 202.

Starring: Me, My Mom Mary, Manda my brother's gf, and a special surprise guest AnnaLynne (Shammy)

Special appearances by: Rick, Sue, Andy, Jurgen, Tyra and Barry!

We ate at: Mom made several meals for us in the condo! El Bistro at La Tortuga twice! (yes, we liked it that much!) Piola! (Mom lovvvves the Basil Martinis) Da Bruno on 5th. Cuevo del Chango for breakfast! Jax on Isla Mujeres.

Weather report: HOT HOT and HOT!I love the heat but WOW! The last 2 days were overcast due to the passing of tropical storm Don, no rain, no wind just cloud cover.

Day Trip: to Isla Mujeres. Mom loves to hunt for sea glass and Isla is the place to do it! Bus to Cancun, taxi to ferry dock, ferry to Isla then a golf cart rental to cruise around the island. It was HOT! REALLY HOT!

Best Memories: Spending time with the people that I love and being able to share it in a place I love!

Hassles: Mom and I trying to get from Houston to Cancun. We fly standby, finally Mom got on the second to last flight, I was able to get on the last flight! Arrival in Playa 11:30pm! Lost luggageI got my bag about 5:30pm on Saturday, Mom got hers on Sunday morning. Note to self...never check a bag again!

Wifi internet connection, horrid! This particualr unit REALLY needs to get it's own wireless router!

for wickys customers or are there some for El Faro renters as well. i.e. no

Hi Dan!

So here's the deal with the loungers on the sand.....they seperate them, one section for Wicky's customers, one section for El Faro residents. You will notice the El Faro resident chairs have the beige umbrellas for use for El Faro people at no charge. There are really nice loungers around the pool area for El Faro people only and the security guard that hangs out really watches who uses the pool/loungers there. Note....there are only 9 beige El Faro umbrellas for use on the beach and pool so if you need one get it fast! Another note...the pool water was really warm as in bath water warm but that's to be expected this time of year!

I also need to give a shout out to Sylvia and Ceaser who work the front desk at El Faro! They were so helpful to me when I was trying to locate my luggage. They made repeated phone calls to the CUN and CZM airport on my behalf!
