Spending New Year's in PDC!!

We LOVED PDC (were there May 2011) and are going back with our two teensfor a post-christmas holiday. We'll be there from Dec 30th thru Jan 6th. Anyone else going to be there at the same time?
I'm sure New Years' Eve will be ROCKIN' !!

We loved welcoming in the new year & enjoyed the beer/champagne shower at midnight on calle 12!

Be prepared to experience a long wait when you depart. We left on January 6 last year not realizing it's the biggest holiday so the airport was short staffed.

We will also be there our first Christmas and New Years in Playa....hope the Luna Blue has a great New Years Eve Party cause that is where we are planning to go.

Everyone just parties in the streets. The clubs are mostly empty because they're charging several hundred dollars cover fee to get in. 12th between 10th Ave and the beach will be packed solid with people with a lot of pushing and shoving as you get closer to the beach - be careful.

Crazy busy on 5th New Years Eve. We eventually got to a beach bar (El Pirata to be exact) to find some space and had a great time. There will be even more space on the beach now, after the reclamation.

Anybody want to meet up for drinks on December 30th? Starting out at Luna Blue probably around 8:00. Fourth trip down to Playa this year, and one of the highlights of our trips is meeting other Playa-aholics.

We'll visit Chichen Itza that day but if we're not totally exhausted, we'll be there. There's live music in LB on Fridays, right?

Hey all! We arrive on Dec 30th (which is a Friday). Will Luna Blue have live music? Or is there somewhere better we should head to on our first night? I have to say, we probably won't ever get further south than 8th! We always get too tired! We never make it to the ferry pier!
