We went to Piola last night. It was really good. The waiter didn't want to give us the usual free bruschetta, which made me mad because I had bragged on and on about it to the people that I brought. A couple of us raised a stink and he ended up bringing it for us. His excuse was that only tables of five or less get it.

I know. When we asked our group of eight to be broken up into three separate checks, he hemmed and hawed and tried to get out of it by warning us that our food was going to come at different times, etc.
![]() It turned out fine, we got everything we wanted in a short time period and everything tasted great. At the end of the night, I even apologized for being a bitch about the bruschetta.

Splitting checks reminds me of the waiters I used to work with who'd complain when Mary Kay convention time would roll around and how often they'd ask for separate checks. I think they were hoping to get that 25% gratuity for any party over 6. |

The pizza we had Wah Wah's was GREAT! It had a crispy crust, and the toppings were really good! Since we were in Mexico, and I come from the Chicagoland area, that was the first time I ever ordered pizza in Mexico(having going to Mexico for over 30 years!) Definitely go for it!

I've been thinking lately about getting back into pizza testing. There are still a couple of places in town, and I really should add Wah Wah officially. I could always start all over and try everything again!

So Mille Voglia still in business? Al gave it 6 months and I am coming back next week and want to try it again. Any interest? That is if they are still there. I expect them to be better with apys and salad.
