Weekend Party Thread
We are getting a new roof this week. Today they tore off the old shingles, replaced 5 sheets of plywood skin and got the paper down.
Tomorrow the new shingles start going on. Weather is great, sunny and warm - highs in the mid-80's to mid 90's over the next week or so |

Our local Corn Festival is going on this weekend. So tomorrow will have us strolling the food alley in search of great food. I am edging for the pork chop or a famous catfish dinner. Grab our food an listen to some music. Saturday morn will find us at the fire department pancake breakfast then off to the Y. Return to the festival that evening for more good eats and music.
Sunday I will ride in a 30 mile fundraiser in support of our local bike trail. Sounds like fun times! |

It is Friday. It is almost 4 pm and the roofers are finishing up. Two of them are Mexican and we have been talking some Spanish the last couple of days
![]() I got a good deal, a real good deal on a rhone style red blend and I am enjoying a glass of that now. After the roofers leave, I will go outside and enjoy looking at our new shingles ![]() Tomorrow morning we go downtown to work out, and then we have an invitation to go over to friends for pool time. High tomorrow is supposed to be 96, so I am in favor of a summer's last hurrah. Besides, I like hanging out with attractive people in swimming costumes (bathing suits for you Americans ) We'll see what Kathy has on the agenda for the weekend when she gets home.

We just came back from meeting with the contractor who will be doing the addition/remodel to MIL's house... and I am totally freaked out, stressed out!!! It's so much to think about, plus we need to get our house on the market (hopefully by next week). I'm too old for all this!! So I came home and immediately started this
... will probably end up like this later on tonight!
