Was your breakfast not included? I'm working on a trip to CR for clients right now and this is one of their non all inclusive hotel options, they're considering both. But even going non AI, their breakfast is included and I show that it has been included since the beginning of the year. Then again, it might depend on where you book.

We booked Flamingo Beach Resort & Spa, which does have an AI option... but we booked through our timeshare, so non AI and we had a room with a kitchen, I believe the rooms that are AI are in the other building and don't have a kitchen.

Right, that's the hotel I'm talking about, but even with the non AI option, breakfast is included. However, that wouldn't be the case if you were using a time share, so that's the reason right there.

Sunday, July 31, 2011

This morning we all slept in. I got up around 10:00 a.m. We left the hotel around noon and it was raining by the hotel. We went over to Tamarindo and unfortunately it started raining a little after we got there. Tamarindo is about 25 minutes from Flamingo. We drove through the main road and then turned up this dirt road. We saw like a little food court and decided to stop there and have lunch. Susy ordered a hamburger and fries. Vicky, Michael and I all had the beef plate. Total with drinks was around $34.00. During lunch we had a little visitor. It was a mommy dog and she kept hanging around our table. Then of course another visitor showed up. Our meat had a lot of fat on it so we saved it for the two doggies. After lunch I took the bag of meat and took the doggies towards the front and then I gave it to them in an area that was away from the restaurants. I felt so bad, they ate it up so fast and wanted more.

After that we walked towards the shops and did a little bit of window shopping at the souvenier shops. The prices were a little high so we didn’t buy anything. We then walked to towards the beach and of course it started sprinkling again. I was hoping Susy could have done some surfing with one of the surf schools, so we walked down the beach a little hoping the rain would go away, but we were not that lucky. The girls decided to go into the water anyways, so Michael and I watched them. The waves started getting a little rough so the girls decided to get out of the water. We were walking towards the car and saw a pizza place so we stopped for some pizza to go and some gelato. We ordered two pepperoni and two Hawaiian pizzas. That was also around $34.00. We stopped off at the market for some more drinks and luckily when we got back to the hotel it was no longer raining. The girls went and hung out at the pool for a little while.

Afterwards we went to the family center so the girls could play ping pong and pool. Michael and I walked over to the Casino to get a drink. Once the family center closed at 9:30 the girls and I went to the Casino. In Costa Rica you can go into Casinos at the age of 18, and I asked if Vicky who is 17 could come in also and the lady said it was no problem, since they were not that busy. Unfortunately, Susy was the only one that had a little bit of luck. We finished our drinks and went back to the room. We watched a little bit of t.v. and called it a night around 11:30.
ok, now lets see if I can re-post these pictures

Our drive to Tamarindo

Vicky wanted to stop here, good thing it was raining

Michael was so excited to finally see some graffiti that he had to take a picture

I don't know why you can't see them, I was able to see them from my work computer.

If I can pry the computer away from Susy tonight, I will do my best to post more.
