Had dinner with three freinds at the new Don sirloin tonight. We all had the Frijoles Don Sirloin and all thought it was excellent. For the "main" course we all had varying things from taocs pastor, tacos sirloin, tortas sirloin and alhambre sirloin. Again, all thought their meals were very good to excellent.

I had the sirloin tortas and is was big, probably 10" or so long. I took 1/2 home for lunch today. Only downside - they do not have their liquor license yet = no cervezas/alcohol. Prices are inexpensive.

Glad I saw this....we love El Fogon and can't wait to try Don's. We'll stick to 30th if they still don't have their liquor license by Xmas at the new place. Thanks for the info, folks!

Yes, the one on 30th was great. The Alambre al pastor with and without cheese was wonderful beyond words. The charros Don Sirloin were great. It was not hot like the El Fogon across from Mega. We loved it and we loved the company we were with both times that we ate there.

Maybe some of them have photos they can post. It was great

We tried the one on 10th last week.

The Charros Don Sirloin were very good.

I had the Arrachera plate (like HC or El Fogon) - It was not as good as HC or El Fogon imho

Michael had the Don Sirloin plate - Sirloin meat instead of arrachera - Michael did not care for it.

Michael was also sad that they don't have their liquor license yet. He had the Jamaica and we both liked it.

Someone asked for recommendations.
I didn't offer Arrachera or the Sirloin plate.
You should heed my advise.

Sorry - but when in Playa we get Arrachera as much as we can since it does not taste as good in the states.

We were there last week, and still no liquor. Why not come on over to the location on 30th? Sure, it's off the beaten tourist path, but that's what makes it cool. I love my neighborhood!!!
