Good idea to get it done and over with so you can concentrate on just getting well!

We do not do much for Christmas. We send a check to the parents of our nieces and nephews in the Midwest. We have a new grand-niece here that we will do something for, but since she will be 4 months old, I doubt she will remember it

Sometimes we go to the coast for the 23rd and 24th at our favorite, funky on a bluff over the ocean beach hotel, driving home on the 25th. I suspect that this year we will stay home and have coffee in front of a nice fire before getting together with our nephew, his wife, their new baby and our ex-sis-in-law.

Actually, it pretty much has been cancelled for us....we are going with my mom and stepdad to Zihua in early December and we all decided that was our main xmas gifts to each other. We will just do very small gifts so there is something to open on the 25th.

Early to bed and early to rise so we can get to Seattle in time to prefunction before the Seahawks vs Falcons game.. Have cheap seat tickets but anywhere inside the stadium is a good thing.
Wondering about just walking into one of the tailgate parties and say "hey Jim said to stop by" , might work. Always lots of fun just people watching before the game.
Last year we saw the pope and elvis cruise thru on four wheelers. Taking the camera this year.

House: cleaned. Laundry: done, and folded. One set of papers: graded. Another tomorrow and some shopping. Skipped the lake this weekend because I've been so busy.

Thinking of cracking open a shiraz/cab blend....

Done. Wow, that didn't take much convincing?

Do you drink red wine room temp? I always used to, now my brother has me hooked on cold red wine.

Best at 58 to 65 degrees

Put it in the fridge 30 minutes or so before you open it

I always thought that refrigerating dryer reds wrecked the tannins? I never used to drink sweet reds, now I'm hooked. All those Michigan wineries make the best Concords. Yum, but is has to be cold.

Rees are meant to be opened at cellar temp, not at room temp.

Cellar temp is 58 to 62 degrees, more or less.
