Weekend Party Thread
Sorry no clever titles. I am outa here at 6:00 am to remote Eastern Oregon for a week. I've spent as much money and more planning energy than it takes to go to Playa for a week.
![]() Freezing cold at night, scorching hot during the day. Dusty, dirty, painful hard work. I have never quite understood why I think these trips are a good idea. Much less, enjoyable. But I do. You all have a great weekend! |

Mike and I will be watching the Tampa Bay Rays vs. the Texas Rangers over the weekend. Tampa is in the Playoffs after a SPECTACULAR win on Wednesday night over the NY Yankees! The score was 7-0 NY in the 8th inning and Tampa came from THAT to WIN the game 8-7 in extra innings.
To clinch the wild card deal, the Baltimore Orioles came from behind to beat the Boston Red Sox after more than a 2 hour rain delay. ![]() The Rays were NINE games out of the wild card slot at the beginning of September! GO RAYS! I think I'd also enjoy doing something "fun" this weekend, but I'm not sure just what that would be..... Next weekend Mike and I are driving down to Fort Myers for the weekend and going on the Murder Mystery Dinner Train there. We also plan on checking out the Edison & Ford winter estates there. They lived right next door to one another. That should be a good time!

Huge birthday party for several friends that have birthdays this month and last month. Smoking two massive pork shoulders. Making two different kinds of BBQ sauce, Carolina Mustard and Memphis. Having 20 - 30 people attending. Woot! Gonna be a blast!

All of these weekends sound just fab.
![]() Other than Uno's, I mean. What are you hunting for, Dana? This weekend - a couple drinks tonight with old friends from my last job, dinner and a movie with the hubby, tomorrow coffee with my niece and the twins, some shopping, and Premier tomorrow night (wine and food festival/fundraiser for autism, it's always a lot of fun). It's October tomorrow, I live in mid-midwestern Canada, and I still have pots of geraniums and petunias and other flowers blooming....what is wrong with this picture??? I mean 'right with this picture'? ![]() ![]() And hubby still has two more fishing trips with the boat planned for the next month.....I am loving this year's weather!! AND- it's Thanksgiving next weekend! Woot! Turkey and pumpkin pie!
