New iPhones to be announced on Tuesday

I am looking forward to them

Supposed to have an 8 megapixal camera

I hope I can snag one before our trip in late October.

We'll see.

Lots of new stuff coming with it, I read.

I have a 3GS and Kathy has the original iPhone.

We will find out Tuesday what is new, but some of the rumors/predictions sound nice.

Here is an article about one rumored feature.

My HTC Thunderbolt has had great 4G and an 8 megapixel camera (along with a 1.3mp front facing camera) for a long time now...

I have been waiting since July (when I was due for an upgrade) for them to announce the new iPhone 5.

I am going to see what it has for features before I decide between it and a Samsung Galaxy SII.

I think it will likely be the Galaxy after doing a comparison between the iPhone 4 and it, and hearing reports from owners of both, and seeing the SaskTel guy do a demo on Swype (AWESOME for texting ) and tell me how he had an iPhone 4 and the Galaxy is way better.

But perhaps the iPhone 5 will have something even cooler and will get the edge.....doubtful though. THe only advantage it has for me is the flash, right now.

The easy part I admit is a big draw of the iPhone!

I know the Androids have a much steeper learning curve.

The biggest drawback to both are they are both touchscreens and I prefer a keyboard. But the Swype is VERY cool.

Either will be a BIG improvement over the teeny screen on my Pearl.

My iPhone was my first smartphone and they guy at the store said the iPhone would be the easiest to learn and navigate. I am glad I listened to him since as an older gal I am not as technically savvy as you young whipper snappers

The touchscreen keyboard took a little to get used to but it's not too bad.
