From what I've read, this campaign wasn't only in Boston -- but Boston is the only city where there was an issue.
I can't believe in this day and age that the ad agency or Turner Broadcasting did not have the courtesy/intelligence to go through proper channels to alert the local law enforcement in each city before putting these "signs" up everywhere. First of all, to protect their investment in the campaign and its materials; second, to act as responsible US citizens.
I hope they are hit with a whopping tab for all the expense the city of Boston incurred.
But whatever they end up paying, you cannot buy publicity like that!
