really sad. I met her when she first came in and despite what had been done to her she was still trusting. So sad.

Pluto

We are looking for sponsors to help with he cost of medical care for Pluto. He needs to have ex rays done to diagnose the problems with his hip, and back right leg. We also need someone to foster him, along with all the other dogs at the ranch in Akumal. We have lost 2 dogs in the past 2 weeks, to snakes. We need to find safe places for all of the dogs until the new shelter can be occupied. If you can help in any way, please contact us at playaanimalrescue.org.

For anyone travelling from Canada and wanting to bring down some things to help out keep this in mind. I just got off the phone with WestJet and they will allow 1 extra FREEchecked bag per person for humanitarian purposes. They can be checked in at your normal check in and they do not require a letter or anything from the organization the donations are going to.

A very big *Thank you* to Coco's Cat Rescue. They have taken Athena, Colin and Tara from the ranch in Akumal, and will care for them until they can be sent to their forever homes in Texas and New York. Thanks to Coco's, 3 more dogs are safe.

Colin, going to New York!

Tara is also going to New York!

Athena is going to Dallas, Texas!

Yes thank you Coco's for all your help that you have given us in the past month or so and for getting our animals out of this environment that seems is no longer safe for them. Thank you also to all that are doing what they can for us.

I was getting the 7 dogs organized today with the help from Sherwood . We had a bath time and dipping and checking them over so that they were ready for their trip to Cancun tomorrow. Chris showed up today and she informed me which dogs that she was taking in and to have them transported to their foster places. I was so happy with the 3 dogs that she chose and I think the 3 dogs were also happy as I was loading them into her truck. I hope they were not tooo much trouble for her and hubby on the way back to Playa as they were really hyped up.
I am constantly vigilant while out at the ranch now and am always checking on the dogs. I have been going through from pen to pen and removing all the weeds that have grown in there and have cleared them out so they are a lot tidier. So far have only seen tail end of 2 snakes and one python sunning itself . No more flops for me or shorts out there.

Please be very careful Gary!! I worry so much about you out there.
It will be so nice once the animals can be moved to a wonderful new shelter.

Gary, I am amazed at what you have done. Staying out there and organizing all this, giving the dogs their daily pills, and being away from your sweetheart, Kat. I wouldn't last 30 minutes at night out there! Thank you so much. Can't believe the support that you have received from so many good people. Makes us feel that there is really a Christmas spirit around you and the dogs!
