The people there in Playa haven't been able to find the third puppy yet. He is very scared, and FAST!
They are making sure that he/she is being fed, and has plenty of fresh water. The search continues!!!

Congo

Congo
We are in need of a foster home for Congo. Our ultimate goal is to find loving permanent homes for all of our beautiful animals. Congo needs a little help before we can reach that goal.
In April of 2011, Congo and his mother, Nina were rescued from a cave in Playacar, where they had been living. Congo was about 3 months old, and had never had any human contact, being protected by Nina.
Congo remains timid, being fostered would help him overcome this. He gets along well with other animals. Please consider helping him find his forever home.

Ways to help

Not able to adopt, but still want to help? Here are some ways to help.

Fostering. Some of our animals, because of various reasons, need some help to become less timid, and more trusting and social. Fostering is the best way to accomplish this. Some have lived in a shelter setting for so long, and being in a loving home would be very beneficial. Help us show them the life they all deserve.

Donate. Every donation, large or small helps to feed and care for our animals. It allows us to get each of them the vet care, vaccinations and medications they need.

Spread the word. Tell your family and friends the work you see us doing. Direct them to our Website Playa Animal Rescue and tell them about our Facebook page. The more people that see us, and the work we are doing, the better.

Congo is a GREAT dog, I have had the honor to meet him. He is my absolute favorite. Whoever fosters him, or adopts him will be getting a wonderful dog!

Update on Parche and the babies

The new shelters first residents were found on the building site. The pups were only a few days old. How they have grown!!
They are all being fostered right now by Jill. Thank you so much!!

This is mine!

This is our favorite place to sit

I wonder if I can eat all of this?

Of course I step in my food! Doesn't everyone?

Plenty of food for everyone!

Our Mom is never far away!

Lucky enough to get a picture of all seven of us!

We are so excited to see these pictures. Thank you Jill, so much for fostering and taking care of these beautiful puppies. The boys look so proud with them. When we left, their eyes were not even open but their personalities were showing. Can't believe they are eating puppy food and walking. I am sitting here grinning. Can't wait tosee them and Parche is such a good Momma. As Sherwood says Pooches Gracias!

Athena Adopted!!!

Hi PAR People,

See good news from Facebook below! Athena has been adopted by a wonderful owner,....a Veternarian Clinic employee!!!

Jeri SulzmanCoco`s Cat Rescue Playa del Carmen
(Photo of Athena here.)

Wanted to let you all know that Athena was adopted today to one of the guys that works at my clinic. He fell in love with her a few weeks ago and couldn't bear the thought of her leaving his side. She has been such a joy since arriving from Mexico. Such a sweet soul. I am so happy to keep her in the "family". — with Laura Raikes and 4 others.
