Little Joe
Joe has had an OK day today. He refused food this morning, but ate a HUGE lunch. We went with a variety so he could choose what he wanted. Mr piggy just ate it all. He is getting weaker on his legs, more wobbly when he walks, but he still enjoys his trips outside to bask in the sun. He is comfortable. He is getting love and gentle care from Frankie.

Pluto and Luke
The boys are off to Canada today. We wanted nice pictures of them, but they were so content to be in their crates, getting good pics was not going to happen! They are one step closer to their furever homes! ![]()

She is doing so well! Her incision looks great. She is eating, drinking walking and doing her business. Couldn't ask for anything more! We are really looking forward to springing her from hospital! She could be released as early as tomorrow. Please consider a donation to help Playa Animal Rescue with the cost of her surgery and care.

Jan was able to pick her up, from the hospital, and has gotten her settled into the shelter. She is doing well, but has tested positive for Eurlicihia,( a tick borne disease) and Heart Worm. She has begun antibiotic treatment for the Eurlichia. She will return to The Playa Pet Hospital next week, for ex rays to determine what stage the Heart Worm is in. All of the workers at the shelter are outraged at what was done to her, and are very protective of her. Please help us with her treatment and medications. Meet Amos
*Meet Amos*
Another dog for Carlos, our caretaker to love on! PAR has a new resident, Amos. He was hit by a car, receiving minor injuries, and was left to live in the streets. He is a beautiful Dalmatian mix, with a very sweet, docile temperament. Stop by and say *Hello* to him, and visit all the animals!

Little Joe
*Little Joe Update*
Little Joe woke up not feeling well this morning. Frankie said she could see it in his eyes and he had no initial interest in food. But our Joe is unpredictable and so this afternoon he has made up for it! This afternoon he has been up and about a lot more than ever before and for a lot longer. He didnt eat until the afternoon but then he came eagerly looking for it and ate well. His fistuals in his mouth are giving him problems today though with lots of sneezing and wheezing. Hes such a mixed bag of a little guy..bathed well... and now happy in his comfy bed. He also has some baby fuzz fur growing on his neck and shoulders. He will be a little ginger-haired man with any luck

![]() ![]() That is amazing that since December 56 dogs have found homes and most of this was done under the adverse conditions prior to the dogs moving to the shelter. So many people contributing so much time and effort. 56!!!! WOW, crazy.![]()

![]() At least he'll be as happy and comfortable as he can be in his last days. Kudos to those caring for him. It must be heartbreaking for them. |
