Jemima
Here's Jemima! Jemima is a smaller female dog, approx 12kg (26 pounds) and our guess is she is between one and two years old. She is a lovely light brown color with black markings on her face. She is very timid and afraid of new people, and will need an understanding family to help her gain confidence. She wants so much to be touched and loved, but needs to gain the confidence to approach people and ask for her share of attention. She should go to a home with experienced owners and may benefit from a calm, assertive dog companion to help her learn how to take her place in the pack.

Sarita
This little heartbreaker is Sarita. She is 3-4 months old and has been spayed and is up to date on her shots. She is the color of wheat and has a little bit of wire-hair in her mix. She is currently 3kg and the vet does not think she will get bigger than 10kg, (22 pounds) so she is a small breed dog. She is a real cuddler who loves nothing more than to nestle into a human being. Like most puppies, she loves to chew and we are redirecting her from chewing on bad things to chewing on her toys. This lesson will need to be reinforced in her forever home, where she will also need to learn all of the rules of being the family pet in a loving home.

PAR's new family
Meet the new Playa Animal Rescue family! Here is Momma and 8 pups. Up until today, they have been living on the streets, being helped a bit by a nearby family. The family is no longer able to help them, so today they were brought to the shelter. It's going to be difficult to keep track of all the black ones! They will be named soon!

Fuerte
As you can see, Fuerte is healing nicely. This girl has been very active, she's tired of being confined to a small run, but we have to try and keep her quiet for a few more days, until she gets another check up from the vet. Thank you all, for your well wishes, prayers and support for this lucky little girl.

Sara
Here are some updated pictures of Sara, who recently traveled to Canada. It sure looks like she's settled comfortably into her foster home. Thank you to everyone that helped make this transfer possible. Sara is one step closer to her furever home!
