Update on Joe

Joe managed to get up (on his own) and walk over to his bowl, for a big drink of water! Good job little man!
Ursula Hendel, has graciously opened her home, where Frankie Starling will take care of him for the next few days! Thank you! You are both Joe's Angels!
Jan sat with him today, on her lap, offering love and comfort to him.

When i picked joe up in the streets he was so weak. His eyes looked cloudy and forlorn. I wrapped him in a blanket an drove off with him in my lap. I could not believe how thin his poor little body was. The angels from PAR will take good care of Joe. Please say a prayer for him he has a long journey back to health.
Any donation will help care for Joe. Please join team Joe and lets all help him get well, this poor baby deserves it. thank you

A MAJOR thank you to everyone helping Joe!! It absolutely brings tears to my eyes seeing him But I know PAR will save this sweet little soul!

So glad to see Belle is doing so well!! Can't wait until so many of these dogs start going off to their forever homes and getting their own double beds!

Huge thank you to Dean and Donna for taking Rocky to Canada! So glad he was rescued and is going to make a safe and sound recovery!!

Seeing the amazing things PAR has been up to, between the new shelter and taking in a case like Joe, has really got me thinking. I know I can't do much right now as an 18-year old, unemployed, college student. But I do know any chance I get to come down with my family, I will do everything I can to volunteer! I feel so lucky to even be a small help to such an amazing organization! But it just isn't enough. I've recently been thinking about traveling after my 4 years here at SIUC, but had been thinking of Europe or Australia. After some recent tears shed, and thinking, somewhere starting in "P" and ending in "laya" seems to be a much better idea to travel to. Right now any time spent out of country after school is only a hope. But if this home can become reality, I think it would be a DREAM COME TRUE to spend a year or two in Playa doing some real help with PAR!

I've seen that picture of Joe in his nice comfy bed probably ten times now, and it still chokes me up everytime!! It's just amazing to see him making his recovery, however slow it may be! Such a HUGE thank you to Frankie and Ursula!! You are amazing for doing this for him!!! I know if he could speak, he would be ever so greatful. Words are unnecessary though, his eyes say it all!
