I had the pleasure of going to Pattaya for vacation one Chinese New Year
back when I was attending Hong Kong International School in 1973. It sure was beautiful. And ample opportunities for kids to push the boundries.
I still look back on that trip today for another one of lifes little lessons.

oh goodness, if you "learned" what my husband "learned" as a 19yo sailor, then its quite likely much since then has paled in comparison...

oh the stories he has told me!

the saying that sticks in my head is "what doesn't kill you makes you stronger" was what many servicemen rotating through Hong Kong was living with. I couldn't imagine my 13 year old in the midst of that.
Again a life lesson that some of my classmates are dealing with today

ummmmm NO 13yo should be subject to what goes on on those islands for servicemen or otherwise... waaaaaaaaaay too advanced for the likes of a youngin.,..

im still trying to figure out how to keep pace with the thai and phillipino women and their ummmm "hobbies" of the day...

Krabi is a spectacular corner of Thailand with classic virgin beaches fringed with towering limestone formations , many of them can be reached only by boat.
