I feel really bad that PAR went through a lot of effort to put their first fundraiser in Playa together to make it a success and then you post your e-mail. I know you have a big heart and have done a lot for a lot of organizations here on Playa info... but to bash someone's first fundraiser is not right.
Actually Lucy, it's our 2nd as this fundraiser is under my original thread about the "Trivia Game" we held on Nov. 1st

Well I was going by the photos of the trivia game you posted, that is the fundraiser I was referring to.

I also donated to Trina by way of Arnie's challenge, but support the PAR fund raiser also.

I hope that we will all not judge Arnie too harshly for his comments--it's clear he had a moment of frustration and expressed it publicly in a way that has clearly offended many people. Anyone can have a bad day or get angry and lash out--but it doesn't change that Arnie has been extremely generous and giving to many charities and individuals over the years, so it's clear his heart is in the right place.

While I disagree with what he said, I am still grateful to him for his compassion and am glad to know there are people like him in the world.

I agree. Arnie has been very generous.

We all misspeak and/or have things misunderstood at times.

Very well said Heather, I agree.
We all have bad days, and once again a big thank you to Arnie, for his generosity!

Yes: A bad Day, SORRY!

What bothered me was that Trina is so sick & needed help & I made a challenge; which stated that I would match any donation to Trina equally to the 3 animal shelters, up to $3000 USD. I gave Trina $3K upfront & donated ~2100 USD to 3 shelters from your kind donations.

I was frustrated that people donated to the shelters rather than to Trina; as I would have matched to the shelters.

Arnie you are a good man and i would like to meet you when i get to playa on the 28th. My whole life as an RN i have dedicated over 25 years to the sick and injured, so i understand where your heart is.
