Ya, I have not mentioned my plans to the rest of the family yet.
My wife and our 2 boys are "all in" though.

I'd love to do Christmas there, too, but we'd be TOAST with the rest of the family... my two 88/89 year old in-laws are still alive, and we'll never be able to leave on Christmas until they're not around anymore.

Not that I don't understand, I do. Just sayin' I've always wanted to do a sun vacation at Christmas....

Well Rob....we are shaking things up this year. We are going to come to Playa around Dec 19th for about 2 1/2 weeks, instead of February, so we will see you earlier and with lighter skin.
The boys are coming again for the first week.
Gonna be different coming that time of year but we have never spent Christmas or New Years on the beach, so here we go.

We would love to do Xmas in Playa but with sonofdob and I in the transportation business this is the busiest time of year for us and we would never be able to book that time off. We also have 6 kids + their significant others and 3 grandkids who were extremely disappointed when we went to Puerto Vallarta last Thanksgiving so I can just imagine that their reaction would be if we suggested Xmas…lol....

I understand what your saying. We do not have that large a family and our boys will be with us for the Christmas week. As for my parents and siblings.....I hope they understand.
It will be different for us and we will miss seeing you guys, and our follow up "Rib's and Sud's" night, etc. But we decided to change things up for this year, and it is my slow time. Likely back to February/March in 2014.
