It's where Jan says it is.

I think it's in the empty lot (keep in mind the image date is May 2009).

Was driving past that location today and my friend that has lived here in Playa for 30 years just happened to say to me (as he noticed that a new place had opened = Cameron Carmelo), that there has been 30 different businesses on that corner (30 is probably a high exaggeration). Unfortunately, you seem to be the only ones reporting on this place. Out of the way for most tourists. Rick/Sue, have you guys tried this place yet? - just curious.
I wish that well but it could be a hard go of it. But I am looking forward to eating there.
Had to settle for shimp and fish tacos and cold beer at La Floresta today for lunch and they were wonderful as usually.

EDIT: On a different note I walked by Mille Voglia (excellent pizza) at 7:25 and they had not one customer. And I walked by Nikkori Sushi (that's what they call it but I have given up on their "sushi") at 7:35 and they also had not one customer.

This looks like a great place to try. The shrimp with strawberry sauce sounds (and looks) delicious. Thanks for posting.

At coffee this morning one of the guys and his wife just had lunch there yesterday. He said that the food is great. Hours are noon until 9. So much good about this place that I will try it this week.

.
This is the second business on that corner. (At least in the last 3-4 years)
It was a vacant lot up to the previous business opening.
We've eaten there. I thought it was very good and reasonably priced.

Well I had lunch there today with my MX friend. We ordered guacamole that was homemade, fresh and very good. We also shared the Camerones Carmelo which was also very good and a beautiful presentation. Decided to try the shrimp taco and it was just okay. I had the shrimp tacos at La Floresta yesterday and they were certainly better than C.C. We washed everything done with 4 cold Indio beers. Total cost was just under 260 pesos. We were there for just under an hour and a half and they only had 2 other customers during that timeframe (1:15pm to 2:45pm).

My husband had these the other night. Something like a Buffalo Shrimp, spicy sauce and very tasty. I had the shrimp in coffe sauce, also very very good. Fernando was very attentive and there were several other tables full the night we were there. We will definitely go back and I do wish them the best of luck as they are very nice people.

The absoluteAL method(tm):

1. Always predict that a new PDC restaurant will fail. Most of the time you're going to be right.

2. If it's on 5th say the rent is too high.

3. If it's off 5th say the location is bad.

4. Go on an off hour and say it's always empty.

5. Go on a Friday night and say it's too busy and service is slow.
