Camarón Caramelo, My new favorite restaurant!

I have driven by this restaurant for the last three weeks, thinking HMMMM, I should eat there. Tonight we did, and it is one of the best meals I have had in Playa.

Camaron Carmelo is on the North east corner of 34th and 35th.

The owner/chef Fernando told us he cooks with love, and it was apparent in his food.

The salsa tray with pineapple onion, Yellow pepper, green tomato and habenero salsas.

I had the Camaron ron ron, Shrimp with a bacon, onion, rum sauce.

Erik had the house specialty, Camaron Carmelo, breaded shrimp with a strawberry sauce.

Both meals were cooked perfectly and had amazing flavor. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and very open and airy. It has only been open one month and in my opinion, it is a don't miss place.

This is a very creative menu, and it was hard to choose what to order. Next trip we are thinking the shrimp with tequila sauce and shrimp with cafe sauce. We will be going back over and over!

This looks good! I made another note in my mile long "need-to-check-out" list of restaurants

Sue, they have chicken salad, chicken tacos and chicken breast, and Fernando told me if you don't see what you want on my menu, tell me and I will make it for you

If anyone goes and tries any of their "non Shrimp/Fish" dishes please post and let us know how they are. I'd love to try this place but am travelling with a non seafood eater
