The original owners recently got the place back. They are in the process of remodeling all of the rooms. Several rooms may be available for rent (but not 100% positive about this).

Lido Beach Club is definitely open as I go there almost every Wednesday and will be there manana.

Sorry, I sit on the beach, not at the bar - so I am not sure. Will try and check on it today.

Yes, Alvarro was tending bar tonight.

Also, talked with the owner of Colibri and she expects to have several rooms completed (remodeled) by Dec. 23 and they will initially priced at $70/night.

That's great, we spent many afternoons at Lido, great drink specials each day and happy hour at 4:00. Nice laid back place to enjoy the beach.

When you say "she", is this a new owner. Didier has always been the owner so just wondering if it's changed hands or is this Martine,
his wife, you speak of.

The original owners are Peter and Sabine from Germany. At one time, it was the best small hotel right on the beach for the price. In the beginning, they also ran the restaurant and bar. Through the years its been leased out so many time so not sure who Al is talking about. It would be nice to see this small hotel go back to what it was.

I think you will find that Martine and Didier Manenq have never owned the Colibri. It is owned by Peter and Sabine. They apparently leased the hotel to Martine and Didier (Phocea diving center), but that lease is now over with.
