Information on El Cid resort?
we have just booked El Cid with a group of 4 families, mainly cause it sounds really kid friendly. We feel it will give the kids something to do with the big pool and all, but one of my favorite things to do is take long walks on the beach. However looking at google maps and reading different things i'm a bit confused if we can walk the beach either north or south because of marina and some holding port?? Wondering if anyone has walked beach and can we walk all the way to Poerto Morallis (sorry about spelling) north, as well as south? Is there any quite sections of beach along either way? Thank you for your time and answers!!

You can't walk all the way to Puerto Morelos along the beach, there is a shipyard in the way. You can walk the beach as far as you can go and then you have to get on the road to go around the shipyard. Or, you can just walk along the road. Or, you can take a taxi for about $6. Or, they have a bike tour to PM.

You cannot walk south on the El Cid beach because the El Cid Marina is to the south. After the Marina is a new resort, Now Jade I believe, so long walks along the beach there is not very convinient. You will enjoy the resort, especially with the kids and that huge pool with all the activities they have.
