Hey Snooky - I'm asking myself the same questions. We're a family of four and the Xpu-ha was our first pick - but then found out we'd need 2 rooms and then I don't feel comfortable putting the kids in a separate room. So that's out.
I'm looking at any of the Barcelo resorts (Puerto Aventuras), but I really want to be closer to PDC. So, perhaps the Iberostars? I've never been and I don't want to make a mistake!
I figured I would keep reading here and see what resort seems to best suit our wants.
