Ahhhh, I just read this TR again and caught up with all the latest travel plans of AnnieK and Roni, can not wait to get back down there!

Annie, have a great trip. You will love all the places along the way, and maybe discover some new ones that we can all check out next trip!

Have FUN!!!

Finally got thru this thing! Awesome report.

We now plan to get as far south as we can manage on our next trip (after a 3-4 nites at Playa Maya and 3-4 nites at Luna Blue and maybe a few nites at an AI, this could become one long trip..... ).

Now I'm reading "Bringing Ixchel Home..."

Thanks, LUVtheNW...
Our trips get longer by a day or so every year. We keep finding more to do! We found a couple new spots on our latest trip, and are planning on checking out another new spot or two this year!

Thanks Harris! I've loved reading about your gang's travels - hopefully I'll have something worth reporting in a few weeks! Thanks for being the "avant-garde" - I now know where to get the best Margaritas, Mimosas, and Bloody Marys in the Costa Maya ;-)

Stay warm and check back in a few- I'm just adding some pics to my next installment.
hello, just wondering if you needed some kind of permit for use of the beach during your wedding. Some people tell me i have to pay for a permit to have the ceremony on the beach. Thanks so much!

OK. SO to get into playacar beach you have to go thru a gate?..did not know that. Ok so I will ask at the gate about the permit.
So your ceremony was just at that random beach atplayacar..? no hotel or resturant right?

Make sure it's Playacar Phase 1, not 2.

You can also walk right there along the beach- right past the ferry dock, right past Playacar Palace, and just south of Xaman Ha condos.
Or you can walk down Ave. 10 just past Paseo del Carmen (mall by the ferry dock). Walk toward the beach, past Xaman Ha. You'll see the ruins.
